Kirstin Stevens

Systems Architect

Kirstin is responsible for the digital systems, data governance, and compliance infrastructure that underpin The Haven. From safeguarding-ready platforms to GDPR-compliant data handling and AI governance, her work ensures that the technology supporting our learners is trustworthy, trauma-informed, and aligned with our neurodivergent-affirming practice.

She brings a particular interest in how online and hyflex provision can be designed well, combining regulatory rigour with the relational, regulation-first approach that sits at the heart of The Haven. Her broader work across the sector, including with Nudge Access, explores how schools can be thoughtfully designed for digital environments to meet the needs of young people who don’t thrive in traditional settings.

For families, this means the systems around your child’s learning are considered, secure, and designed with dignity in mind. For staff and commissioners, it means clear accountability for data protection, platform evaluation, and the quiet work that keeps a hyflex school compliant and humane.
