I am an English Educator at the Haven. I have been teaching for 12 years, and I have taught and lived in York, Chester, the Wirral, Liverpool and even 5 years in Munich. I have also taught Theatre, Media Studies, PSHE and even (briefly) Maths. English as a subject is a very broad umbrella, so I look for different ways to connect our learning to the wider world, wider curriculum and learner passions.

Having been diagnosed with ADHD as an adult, I am a passionate advocate for neuroaffirming learning spaces and approaches. Flexibility is at the heart of my approach – come as you are and I will meet you there. I prioritise a safety first approach to learning. You are in control of your learning journey and my role is to support you.
